PPIE advisory group meetings were held online 3 times per year. Meetings included the discussion of the study design for individual work packages, development and review of research materials.

Four PPIE members shared their personal experiences of infection and reflected on their involvement in the I-SAMPLE project. They discussed their experiences of hospital care and what could help improve the patient experience, highlighting the importance of open communication between patients and healthcare staff about blood culture sampling.

January 2024 - September 2026
Members of PPIE group have been actively involved in all aspects of the project, from shaping the study design and reviewing research materials, to contributing to data analysis, co-design, training, conferences and dissemination.
